Amid the military standoff along LAC in eastern Ladakh, the Indian Army has occupied strategic heights overlooking Chinese positions near finger-4 in Pangong Tso. The development gives the Indian Army an edge over the Chinese even as PLA troops continue to indulge in provocative actions.
The Indian Army has been actively pre-empting the activities of its Chinese counterparts, People's Liberation Army (PLA) troops in the area along Pangong Tso. This is being done to prevent China from occupying any more territory which falls on India's side of the LAC.
